For me, the best part in the OELP classroom is to see all the learners and the teacher engaged in the teaching – learning process. Both of them share a very healthy relationship which fosters this learning process.  OELP material clearly shows how thinking is involved in every activity – be it listening, speaking, reading or writing. I have seen some of the finest activities and practices in the OELP class.

The OELP Library and Literacy programmes are rich and well thought out. They provide children opportunities for authentic learning and nurtures their socio-emotional development. The program involves the community in children’s literacy in meaningful ways.  What stands out about this intervention is how it addresses the issues of caste and gender quietly through its regular ongoing activities.

I would like to congratulate the entire OELP team for their relentless effort and enthusiasm over the last ten years, in making children learn to read and write, in involving the local communities, in giving importance to home language of children and giving opportunity to children to visit libraries that are full of story books and other materials.

OELP’s foundational learning solution is a complete and composite package of learning and personality development. SSA and the State government are with the mission of OELP.

It was entirely my honour and pleasure to see the wonderful work of OELP. OELP has cracked the foundational literacy challenge in village conditions, and rightly, by focusing on the first two years, the organisation has been able to put children on a learning trajectory through the rest of schooling and beyond.
